December Daily | Day 19 | Traditions
Christmas traditions is what I really wanted to talk about and ours involves a walk on Christmas Day.
There is something special about the beach on December 25th. We usually have it all to ourselves, the dogs can tire themselves out and we all look forward to lunch that much more.
We were talking about the best Christmas movies released and alongside The Holiday and Jingle All The Way, we remembered this gem. Funnily enough the dates coincided so we had to blog about it!
On the 19th of December 1843, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens was published. Bah humbug.
A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. A mean man who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. After their visits Scrooge transforms into a kinder and more thoughtful man. A Christmas miracle!
Not many would have read the original story but we can guarantee you’ve seen the greatest Christmas Movie of all time- The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Musicals are not popular in our house but everyone will sit down to watch this. (I think every movie should be narrated by Gonzo the Great and Rizzo)
Sadly the Muppets creator, Jim Henson, passed away before the movie was completed. What an amazing legacy which continues to make people happy today!
We’d love to know about your traditions?
