The Gallery 21 | TBEX Killarney
We were delighted when TBEX Europe 2017 announced it was coming to our hometown. After the success and buzz surrounding their 2013 event in Dublin, choosing Killarney as a host is an amazing achievement. The event is run October 3-5 in the INEC.
For those of you who do not know what TBEX is, it is the largest networking event for travel bloggers, industry professionals and journalists alike. With past events held in Stockholm, Philippines, Bangkok, Toronto, Cancun and more, TBEX has gathered a huge following and Killarney is only to benefit.
This years speakers include Irish Adventurer, Mike O Shea, known for national and international Paragliding & Paramotoring, Walking and Mountain Climbing. His wealth of knowledge and experience has led to a career in heights and rescue consultancy, and has worked with RedBull Cliff Diving and movies including Star Wars VII.
We know that Skellig Islands new found fame has a lot to do with the conference. The Wild Atlantic Way has been advertised incredibly well over the years and it is wonderful to see rural towns and villages along the West of Ireland striving. Due to the franchise using the famous monastery Island, towns such as Ballinskelligs and Portmagee are experiencing a surge of visitors, travel bloggers, Star Wars enthusiasts and ‘stay-cationers’ alike. In a time when an entire generation is living abroad, small towns deserve the recognition they are receiving.
We are a small island, dependant on tourism, events such as this which showcase our country’s beauty and hospitality should be encouraged. Our mountains, coastlines, wildlife (and nightlife) are famous, with a little a time you’ll meet the characters, musicians and storytellers and experience Ireland as one should.
If you are part of the TBEX attendees, you’re in for a treat. Of course we’re biased and lucky that Killarney is our home, but Kerry is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.
We would like to extend our welcome and invitation to you all,
The Gallery 21 Team
