Paris By Night
On our way back from France I was reminded of this project I did a few years ago. If anyone has seen Midnight in Paris then you’ll understand how easy it is to get lost here.
Bouncing from one cobbled, narrow street to another. Dropping by cafés and bistros, eating and drinking , listening to jazz. Apart from enjoying the atmosphere, the architecture is mind blowing. Art deco typography from the 1920’s and filigree iron works and canopies adorn the streets. There is something about Paris at night, the twinkling lights and lanterns that lead you on an adventure.
Visit the Sacré-Couer Basilica, located at the the very top of Montmartre. This church overlooks the entire area, glimpsed through the rooftops and over buildings in the surroundings its majestic presence is everywhere . The famous Moulin Rouge windmill that has adorned the skyline since in early 1900’s. The bohemian vibes that led to works by Picasso, Hemingway and Fitzgerald are all around, bask in the atmosphere that led many famous artists and literary geniuses to locate in the wonderful the city.
Hopefully we’ve inspired you to visit or indeed revisit the city of love! and let it captivate again or for the very first time.
