Waterfall Movement

Venturing out the day after a heavy storm my goal was to create something special at Derrycunnihy Waterfall in Killarney’s National Park, which is part of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. You could hear the falls from way off, the power of the storm water was immense. How could I capture the power and show it as an art piece ? The styles of artists Monet, Matisse and Manet where in my thoughts and became an influence in this image. The colours of the fauna around the rushing whites of the rapids somehow hold the whole scene together.
